Habakkuk 2:2-3

Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 3For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

“I can’t see!” My young son was yelling to me as he was playing a blindfold game for the very first time in his young life. I tried to reassure him that the game was designed so he would not see and he needed to trust the directions of the leader. He was not really happy with that thought, but finally agreed to follow. As he listened to the leader; ‘two steps right, walk straight for 10 steps, turn to the left, now reach down and grab the rope and pull,” it suddenly became clear to him (pun intended) that since he listened, and obeyed, he pulled a bag of candy down on himself! He learned to ‘listen to the leader.’

In the country right now, we are in a similar ‘blindfolded’ situation. We as American citizens have the right to elect our President, and many other representatives for us, the people. This particular time, however, something went haywire! We nominated, fine. Listened to the speeches, platforms, ads, went to or watched the rally’s. We researched, prayed, and finally the day came!. “The first Tuesday after the first Monday in November” as stated in the Constitution. We all made our way to vote at our designated polling spot. Calm, orderly, prepared, right? Well…up to a point. So what happened? Chaos!

So, really what happened? First, because there were so many mailed in votes, thanks to covid-19, and a continuous push from one side, there was ample opportunity for the ballot to be delayed, or lost, or chewed up in a machine. I have had all those situations happen to me with regular mail during regular times. Also, the ballot could have been sent to the wrong person, to the wrong address, or too late to be able to be used. Again, I have had all those scenarios happen to me. Once my son, (near Philly) sent me a photo of my grandson’s card I had sent to him. It had tire tracks on it, it was ripped open, a check hanging out of it and he got it after his Birthday! Of course, there was a printed apology. Stuff happens. So imagine that the amount of mail doubles or triples and there is a deadline to get it to the correct address. Big job.

I have also had requests to have my ballot sent to an address that I have not lived in for 38 years! You can see just from my experiences that there is a lot of room for errors!

This is what I want to focus on today, however. None of that will get in the way of God having His way in this election! With so much of our country divided over many issues that involve doing things God’s way, is almost seems like God was on the ballot! That is really what is at stake this year.

Several current prophets have named Donald J. Trump as the man to usher the USA into the next revival. Oh, not him personally, but the pressure the opposition has put on him has been a motivator for Christians across the US to pray for him, our country and even our own repentance. Just watching his own spiritual growth over the last four years has been encouraging. I am not on the inside track of his thoughts to know what he is thinking or living by, I just know that he has surrounded himself with Bible believing, praying Christians. That will not leave him unaffected. He has also acknowledged that he is not the most powerful man in the world, Jesus is. We know God holds the heart of the King in His hands, and He can turn it whatever way He wants too.

Since the USA was founded on Godly principles, I believe we are getting another opportunity to ‘return’ to God and we will see Him move in a mighty way in this election process. If all of the things we had done in our human frail way could have made this critical election come to fruition, we would have said it was OUR victory. All the had work the President put into campaigning would have paid off. But, instead, all that hard work contrasted with someone who barely worked at all, and gets half the votes? Hmmmm That gives me a pause to ponder.

So, we still need to be thinking and praying. We need to be trusting that God said it in Habakkuk, and still means it today. ‘Though it lingers, it will not delay.’ Pennsylvania is still the ‘capstone’ of the nation. This is where so much of our history as a nation began, and we are having the opportunity to once again bring this nation back to it’s Godly roots. How you wonder? Well, when God moves His mighty hand and the everyone sees that this could only be from God’s hand, they will believe. I was believing this must be the case with the way this election turned out. Then I began hearing similar prophesy from other prophets for our time. Check out Charlie Shamp, October 22, 2020…before the election. And Mario Murillo Ministries from yesterday.

Just like my son struggled with not being able to see a clear path to the goal, we are currently not seeing how this will turn out. Eliot had to trust the one giving the directions would steer him the right way. We also must trust that The One who is directing this process has our best interests, as a nation, at His heart. He does! Please continue to pray! I would love to hear from you.
