Judges 6:34-35 34Then the Spirit of the LORD came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him. 35He sent messengers throughout Manasseh, calling them to arms, and also into Asher, Zebulun and Naphtali, so that they too went up to meet them.
Ready or not, here I come! I had counted to 10, gave the warning, and ran off to see where my four year old grandson hid. Well, it was pretty obvious as soon as I opened my eyes. His feet and legs were sticking out from under the throw I had draped on the couch. The shape of the rest of his body was making a distinct mountain under the the throw! Still, I took a few minutes to talk loudly about the places I was looking; Is he under the table? no. Is he behind the couch, no. Is he in the closet? no. Oh, where could he be? A sweet childish giggle came out from under the throw. I went over to the throw and pulled it off. I found you! I hugged Preston and he squealed; ‘But it took you a long time for you to find me!’ “Yes, it did,” I responded.
When we play ‘Hide and seek’ with God, it’s about the same circumstances. We can try to hide, but our omnipotent, omniscient , omnipresent God, cannot be hidden from. Still, some try.
Let’s take a look at Gideon. He was hiding in a wine press trying to beat out the wheat. He wanted to keep what little food that could be found to himself, for his family. You see, the ‘sons of Israel; had been doing what was wrong in the eyes of the Lord, and the Lord gave them over to the hands of the Midianites for seven years. The Midianites plundered all their food, their livestock, and anything else they could get their hands on. As a result, Gideon was hiding trying to prepare the wheat for himself, before the Midianites found and looted or burned the wheat.
God had a bigger idea for Gideon. You see, Gideon was being groomed by God for a big job. The job of a judge of Israel! Yet, Gideon was so fearful of the Midianites that he would not move in any direction without the express consent of God. He even questioned God’s instructions twice with a ‘fleece.’ However, once it was established in his mind that he was being told the instructions from God, he moved forward with the rest of God’s plan. God encouraged Gideon with the reminder that He had brought the Israelite’s out of Egypt, He would not abandon them now!
And, he didn’t! With only the 300 men who had been tested to see that they ‘lapped up water like a dog’, they moved into taking down the Midianites! With some strategic plans from God, and only the 300 soldiers, the Israelite’s took down the Midianite army that had oppressed them for seven years. The Israelite’s, and the Midianites clearly could see this never could have happened without God’s help.
What is the importance to us today? In my humble opinion, we stand facing the Midianites in half of the USA that has not allowed a fair election process. There are just too many idiosyncrasies and questionable practices to allow those of us on the President’s side, to believe he got a fair shake. If we believe God called him to clean up the swamp, his job is not finished. Want to do something about it? Let’s be like Gideon and stop cowering behind our masks. There is a movement to write a letter to the White House asking that all fifty states audit the votes. Please write by snail mail to:
President Donald J. Trump
White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington D.C.

Here is an example if you don’t know where to start;
Dear President Trump,
Please demand a complete audit for all fifty states of the recent 2020 Presidential election.
I am very proud of the job you have done the last four years. You alone have made the changes that have been needed for a very long time. I trust that in a second term, you will continue to make America great again!
Sincerely,
It takes just a few minutes and a 55 cent stamp to show your support for a man that has been working day and night to keep us free! Let me know you did it, please!
