You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Ahhhhh….I laid my head back lazily on the lounge chair. I was sitting with my husband next to a spring fed pool and we were both quiet as we just soaked in the surroundings. A gentle breeze was blowing and the fragrance of several summer flowers wafted to my senses. I smiled as I listened to several different species of birds as they merrily flew from one tree to another, telling everyone their story. The soothing sound of water rippling in a nearby pond nearly put me to sleep. With my eyes closed I really could have been in a tropical paradise, in an African jungle, or even on a Hawaiian Island! No, it was none of those, we were only about two hours away from home at ‘White Wing Farm’ in West Chester, PA.
Our son had taken his wife there for a couple of days and he enjoyed it so much, he recommended it to us. We went for our Anniversary/Ron’s Birthday combo. We were not disappointed! I will be sharing more with you about this unique and lush getaway tomorrow, but today I want to tell you how it made me feel….homesick! No, not homesick for my beautiful home in NEPA, homesick for my ‘forever home’, Heaven!
The entire 14 acres was just full of lush green trees, bushes and flowers decorating the rolling hills and pathways, I knew there was a loving caretaker making sure this landscape was just as he wanted it to be! Every area was glowing with the touch of the caregiver and the surroundings gave back to him by being the best and most beautiful they could be. I believe that this was the environment that Adam and Eve lived in. It was perfectly manicured, lush, colorful and alive with the sounds of birds and animals going about their own business as they gave glory to God by doing what they were created to do.
I was a little sad, longing to be in that place of peace and tranquility forever. Then remembered that we will see that place again! It will be our eternal destination, we will never leave it, it will never be corrupted again because through the sacrifice of Jesus, all old things have passed away and God has made all things new!
I became overjoyed! This will be our ‘little piece of Heaven’ here on earth. A place to rest, rejuvenate, and replenish our spirit’s to be ready for the world at large! A reminder that the BEST is yet to come! Please come with us!
