In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
I remember being in elementary school and staring at a clock that did not move! At least that is the way it seemed to me when my stomach was growling, and the sun was shining outside, and recess was coming up next. Recess always came ever so slowly I might add!
Now that I am (just a little) older, I feel most days as if time is running in double time. That is when I am reminded of Andy Rooney’s quote; ‘I’ve learned that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes’. How many of us can say Amen?
Yet, whether our time goes quickly or slowly, you can rest assured that is going just as God created it to go. We just need to ‘monitor and adjust’!
Recently Holy Spirit gave me a download I shared with my women’s Bible study. I would like to share it with you, my faithful readers.
It is the Acronym FAST! Maybe when we think of fast, fast food, fast runner, fast worker, and on and on.
I would like you remember these four words that can motivate us to live out our Christian walk more successfully.
F follow the Word.
A act on the Word
S study the Word
T tell others the Word
You will see that they all revolve around the WORD! Makes sense to me since we know THE WORD is Jesus!

We are instructed throughout the Bible to FOLLOW after the Word.
Matthew 4:19 “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.
For your own study: Luke 9:23 John 21:19 I Peter 2:21
We must ACT on the Word. Act on the Word can also mean to ‘do’ the Word.
I Corinthians 16:10 “And if Timothy comes see that he may be with you without fear, for he does the work of the Lord as I also do”.
STUDY the Word.
II Timothy 2:15 “Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
And finally, TELL the Word!
Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
I hope this little acronym, FAST will remind you when maybe you feel a little overwhelmed with all the things, we are instructed to do…stick to these four and you will be on the right track…the fast track to Heaven! Follow Act Study Tell
