Well, It’s Over!

Acts 2:28
You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in your presence.

I did everything I could do! I did my research. I prayed asking God for wisdom. I got and gave out ‘voter guides’. I put signs for ‘my’ candidate in my yard. I answered questions of friends and relatives giving them brief overviews of why I chose ……… Then, on election day-I voted! I went home and watched the returns. Not encouraging! As one polling site after the other closed and the results were tallied, one race after the other went the opposite of who I voted for. I was shocked! I stayed up way too late hoping that it might turn around in Pennsylvania. It didn’t. I went to bed. Maybe the morning will look better.

Next morning, not any better! I began going over the list in my head that the party in power stood for. Maybe I got it wrong? Here are a few.

  • the president calls those who disagree with him ‘idiots’.
  • the government in power deems churches ‘non-essential, while strip clubs and liquor stores are considered essential and allowed to stay open during covid lock downs.
  • our children now belong to the state-not their parents
  • Parents get a visit from the feds if they complain at school board meetings. Of course, this is an effort to intimidate us to ‘keep our mouth shut’.
  • Crime has skyrocketed. Pro-life counseling centers are bombed, burned and vandalized with foul graffiti. No consequences.
  • Policemen and women are demonized! I learned in kindergarten they are my friend! Why did that change?
  • Our government is out of control with needless spending! I have to pay my debts, don’t you?
  • While mercy and care for cognitively handicapped individuals is always appropriate, now they can also be presidents and senators! If they are the correct party, of course. And the world laughs at us.
  • Some of the worst atrocities are these facts; some leaders want to murder the baby even AFTER it is delivered!
  • Selling aborted body parts mutilate and castrate children if they express, they are wondering if they are in the wrong body. That process is just part of growing up! They also all want to be teachers and firemen for a while! It all changes as they mature.
  • Drag queens dancing in front of kindergarten children while rubbing their private parts.
  • Un-vaxed people cannot visit America while millions of un-vaxed illegal immigrants’ stream across our borders-unvetted! Many are bringing the deadly fentanyl with them to share with our people as well as human trafficking and various degrees of crimes.

No, I don’t believe I got it wrong. Apparently, my beautiful commonwealth of Pennsylvania is for murdering our babies and voted for pro-murder candidates, along with our pro-murder Roman Catholic president! Pro-abortion is pro-murder. Yes, I purposely want it to sound harsh and dramatic. IT IS MURDER! You would be appaled to find out that your mother murdered your brother or sister when they misbehaved. This is no different.

It is a money making, satan crafted way to euthanize babies-and mostly black babies, if the truth be told. Recently I heard from Abby Johnson who previously worked at Planned Parenthood that Planned Parenthood will soon be changing its focus. It is getting too much push-back on abortion, so, they will gear up their non-medical-nonregulated facilities to do gender mutilating operations! Bonus, they make 3 times the money too!

The news the day after election did not help me feel any better about the results-until. Until i prayed! In that small voice I know so well, I believe Holy Spirit reminded me-I AM IS STILL ON THE THRONE AND I HAVE THIS COVERED TOO! I began to remember a friend tell me that things must get much worse, before we will begin to see people turn to God and abandon their hedonistic ways. I remembered that there were many times in scripture when God’s people ran pell-mell into sin-and God still was anxious to bring them back to Him.

I still feel dejected and disappointed in my fellow Pennsylvania voters. But I don’t put my trust in them-I put my trust in the only One that has the power to change things around for our good-and His glory! So, keep on voting!

Psalm 2 The Passion Translation
The Coronation of the King
Act I – The Nations Speak2 How dare the nations plan a rebellion.
    Their foolish plots are futile![a]
2 Look at how the power brokers of the world
rise up to hold their summit
as the rulers scheme and confer together
against Yahweh and his Anointed King, saying:
3 “Let’s come together and break away from the Creator.
Once and for all let’s cast off these controlling chains
    of God and his Christ!”[b]Act II – God Speaks4 God-Enthroned[c] merely laughs at them;
the Sovereign One mocks their madness!
5 Then with the fierceness of his fiery anger
he settles the issue[d] and terrifies them to death[e] with these words:
6 “I myself have poured out my King on Zion,[f] my holy mountain.[g]Act III – The Son Speaks7 “I will reveal the eternal purpose of God.
For he has decreed over me, ‘You are my favored Son.
And as your Father I have crowned you as my King Eternal.
    Today I became your Father.
8 Ask me[h] to give you the nations and I will do it,
and they shall become your legacy.
Your domain will stretch to the ends of the earth.
9 And you will shepherd them[i] with unlimited authority,
crushing their rebellion as an iron rod smashes jars of clay!’”Act IV – The Holy Spirit Speaks10 Listen to me, all you rebel-kings
and all you upstart judges of the earth.
Learn your lesson[jwhile there’s still time.
11 Serve and worship the awe-inspiring God.
Recognize his greatness and bow before him,
trembling with reverence in his presence.[k]
12 Fall facedown before him and kiss the Son[l]
before his anger is roused against you.
Remember that his wrath can be quickly kindled!
But many blessings are waiting for all
who turn aside to hide themselves in him!

Amen, sister. You said it all, the overwhelming sadness over this election but yet our trust is in the Lord not man.
Let God arise, His enemies be scattered.

Disappointed too. Frustrated, yes. But our God still reigns and has the last word. Our trust is in Him.
