Summertime, and the Livin’ is Easy!

Matthew 24:32

Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

I hope you are enjoying summer. I am! I went out on my deck with my book, put my feet up on the settee, and just enjoyed the sun. The breeze was gently blowing and the sweet scent of my rose bush was tickling my nose. The pump for the pool was humming along and somewhere in a distant tree two sparrows discussed where they would get their take out dinner. The sublime summertime is upon us. Aghhhhh, easy living, less structured schedule, more time to relax, swimming pools, family, friends, books to enjoy.

This year even more than usual I have looked forward to this season. We got a new, larger pool and it is positioned to catch more of the sun during the day, so the water is warmer, and very inviting. I am reminded that our Heavenly Father wanted us to enjoy this type of carefree existence right from the beginning. The world God created for Adam and Eve was a beautiful place where man and animal lived in harmony. Work, somehow was not a chore, and God walked and chatted with them about their day in the evening when it got cool. I deduct from that , the days were warm. A vacation paradise every day. Then at the end of the day, Father God came to have a visit with you.

I believe that paradise will be ours again, soon. I believe the Lord is holding up His return trip waiting for more to come into the Kingdom. But He does tell us to look at the signs of the age.

In this Chapter in Matthew we are given many signs to look for when the end of the age gets close. Now, the disciples were with Jesus when they asked Jesus this question. It has been a long wait for the fruition of the answer! You can read for yourself the many signs we can expect before the return of Jesus. You can also see that most of them have been fulfilled. This should thrill our souls to think our home going to Jesus is eminent! It won’t be long now, Maranantha !! Come quickly Jesus!

Here’s a question for ya; What are you looking forward to the most about Heaven? Please share it with us.

Enjoy the rest of your lazy summer days!
