My favorite picture of Jesus is that of the Good Shepherd holding a lamb close to his heart. It reminds me of this verse in Isaiah. The artist depicts visible nail prints in Jesus‘ hands. Jesus died for my sins. My sins drove those nails into his hands and feet.
Yes, my name is engraved on the palms of Jesus’ hands. Even in his glory in heaven, he bears these nail prints. They assure me that my eternal salvation has been purchased and sealed by faith through his sacrifice of love for me.
