“Behold, He is coming in the clouds, and every will see Him.”
I hope you are taking these blogs and the movies and books about this event very seriously! Since I was age 20 my stepfather would tell me about the eminent return of Jesus. It fascinated me, and it was the motivation I needed to find out more, go to a church that preached about the Rapture, and finally get my heart right so I would be prepared to go. But the rapture didn’t happen! Does that mean it’s not true? NO! I believe God has held His hand back from sending His Son for us so more will come into His Kingdom. Remember, He talked about the rapture in the New Testament over 2,000 years ago. Just because it did not happen yet, does not mean it won’t happen.
I want to discuss some aspects you will face if the rapture has occurred, and you have been left behind. First of all, hope is not lost! Our God is a God of second, third, and so on, opportunities to go to Him for forgiveness. This will not be an easy time, if you have been left, but it is possible to still be saved from the wrath that will surely come.
In the movie ‘Left Behind, Rise of the Antichrist’, life became difficult for those left. I believe that the movie did NOT portray just how bad it will be. It was only 6 months after the rapture had occured and people were still adjusting to the new normal.
In reality, there will be 7 years of tribulation, or trouble. Holy Spirit will be removed from earth as He exists in the believer’s heart. Believers are gone. There will be no conviction and no law. There will be no babies for at least 9 months as all babies will have been taken in the rapture. They are innocent!
While it seems that this is unbelievable, so many things in the past ‘seem unbelievable’, but in reality-are very true! This is no different. Jesus said He would return ‘someday’ and take His Bride, the Church of believers, to Heaven to live with Him. He said to be sure we are ready to GO every day. How?
Keep current accounts with God…ask for and receive His forgiveness-daily!
Read His Instruction Manual-the Bible-daily! Believe and do what it says. Start in the Book of John, if you have not read the Bible before.
Pray every day! Just a conversation with God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. Pray anytime and anywhere and all the time everywhere. He is not like a good friend that you must sit down together…He is everywhere You are!
