Exodus From Darkness

Please allow me to introduce you to a dear friend of mine, Dr. Daniel Shayesteh. I asked him to give us some insight on the Muslim faith, and what is happening in Islam that is bringing so many out into the light of Christ’s love. He has graciously obliged. For the next few weeks Dr Daniel will be our guest blogger on Friday and Saturday. These weeks will coincide with the month of Ramadan, (a month of fasting and prayer for Muslims). If you would like further information about Dr. Daniel, please go to his Youtube videos. He shares fascinating truths we need as we minister to this ever growing population of Muslims in the USA. Love your neighbor!

Dr. Daniel Shayesteh

EFD (Exodus from Darkness) is a specialized apologetics and evangelistic ministry; encouraging all people to search for the best beliefs and values: proclaiming that eternal confidence is found only in Jesus Christ.

Dr. Shayesteh was born into a Muslim family in Northern Iran. He found renewed faith in Islam during his university years and became involved in the widespread civil unrest (demonstrations and strikes) that led to the exile of the Shah (king of Iran). This opened the door for Ayatollah Khomeini to come to power leading an Islamic Fundamentalist Government. Dr Shayesteh initially closely aligned himself with Ayatollah Khomeini’s rise to power and became a radical Muslim leader and teacher of Islam. However, after falling out of favour with Khomeini’s political group, he escaped to Turkey where he began an amazing journey to faith in Jesus

Please enjoy the insight of, Dr. Daniel Shayesteh. And, as always, please let me know your thoughts! And now, Dr. Daniel Shayesteh….

Freedom from Enslaving God

Introduction

Since the essence of the true God is liberating, He does not captivate mankind. But a made-up god by a religious leader or guru is unreal and therefore enslaving. In this section I want to reveal to you the personalities of Allah in comparison with the God of the Bible so that you can evaluate them with the eyes of your conscience to see who is real and who is not, and how to be freed from the bondage of an unreal one. I may also continue this section by looking at the nature of gods in other religions.

How can we know whether a God is real or not?

God must be perfect in every good thing; if not, then he is not real.

First, God must be all-knowing in order to value logic but avoid compulsion.

Second, God must be Holy, as the Holy God cannot sin or encourage anyone to sin.

Third, God must be completely just and thereby the best Role Model who is far from any injustice or encouraging others to act unjustly.

Fourth, God must be the perfect Lover who is able to overcome chasms that are separating His loved ones from Him so that He can be with them forever.

Fifth, God must be present everywhere and draw peoples’ attention through His kindness and compassion for establishing a lasting peace between Himself and them, and among them.

Sixth, God must be omnipotent in order to be able to save people in their life on earth and fill their hearts with the joy of everlasting salvation so that they will not worry about the hereafter.

Did you have any chance to study the book of your belief and see whether or not it introduces the true God? Let’s see. To be continued …

NOTE: Ramadan begins today. There is an initiative to pray to demonstrate more love to the Muslim people across the world.

April 24, pray as Jesus did in John 17:20-23 20“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- 23I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
