Rebellion to Redemption

Jonah 3:2-4

“Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.” 3Jonah obeyed the word of the LORD and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. 4Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.”

You want to talk about rebellion? Let’s talk about our man Jonah! God called him to preach to a heathen nation. A nation so far from God that Jonah was fearful for his own life. Sound familiar? Yes, we hear it today, everyday. Christians are being oppressed, repressed and scared to express their opinions if they are not aware of where you stand, for fear of repercussions.

I had not confronted that attitude…until I did! Until I sent a letter to the editor of the Scranton newspaper with an opposing view to theirs. The editor and I chatted about why I had not seen my article in the paper, though it had been a couple weeks since I sent it in. Then he dropped this…’your facts were not factual so I could not print it.’ Now, I must say that I anticipated that and fact checked all my facts before I sent it. It did not matter to him as he sited his sources and I was shot down! His source was a left-wing liberal rag.

This is not a rare occurrence, and it will become even more prevalent as we move closer to the ‘end of the age.’ But God! But God raised up a born again Jewish man named Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. This man has been giving end time prophecy since 9-11, and God laid it on his heart to begin a movement of Christian believers called; “The Return.” This will be held Friday September 25th at 7:00 EST and Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Please access all the information for the two days at; THERETURN.ORG.

We are in a critical time right now in this nation, and in fact, globally! But we have an example in the Bible that is very encouraging to us, if we take it to heart. You see, Jonah was sent to Nineveh to give the people a warning. They had 40 days to repent, turn from their evil ways, or they would be overthrown! (see verse above.) Funny thing happened, from the king down, the people repented! They were restored.

Jonah 3:5 5The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.

The people repented, God relented! We are at that precipice right now! It is 40 days from the election. An election that I believe is the ‘tipping point’ for America. We can choose someone who will stand against the murder of innocent babies, or the one who will continue to aggressively allow murder up to, and even beyond the birth. The man who was refused communion because he stands for abortion. We can choose someone who is mentally deficient, and as a result we will have a manikin in the oval office while the left wing cronies pull the strings, or we can choose the man who has made deals as a business man that no one thought possible. We can choose someone who will allow immigrants to flood our borders, receive our benefits and jobs, and have no responsibility to this country, or someone who is committed to allowing immigrants to enter the legal way. We can choose someone who was perfectly content to have our places of worship closed, or choose the man who knows God is our only hope!

Tonight please spend time in prayer and repentance. We are at a critical time in America. We have been warned, yet God in his mercy has allowed us a time of reprieve to repent for ourselves, and for our land to be spared from destruction. IT IS OUR NINEVEH MOMENT!

I am challenging you to take this opportunity very seriously! If we ignore it, who knows what might happen. We have these 40 days to turn back to God, just like the people did in Nineveh. Are you with me? Let me know in the reply section, please!
