Jeremiah 15:19-21

19Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. 20I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” declares the LORD. 21“I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”

It was several weeks ago when I heard about ‘The Return’ the movement and march in Washington D.C. on September 26th. I marked the calendar, I re-arranged my schedule, I had a plan. Why? It was just another get together on the mall in D.C. bringing awareness to something, right? NO, very wrong! This was an effort by believers all over the USA to join in prayer and repentance for our nation, and the turning away from God that has been happening over the last , oh, almost 60 years.

Remember when every morning in school we stood, put our hands over our hearts and recited the ‘pledge to the American flag?’ Not any more. Or, remember when teacher either said a prayer, or gave us a ‘moment of silence’ so we could pray to God? Gone! What has entered is disrespect, ‘my rights’, and a general lack of concern for any type of education. It stems from a disrespect for God!

Oh, it’s not only in school, it’s everywhere. We see it on the news everyday! The problem with this is, it will not improve the nation, it will destroy the nation! And, it will not improve on it’s own. Over the years this nation has been warned about this type of falling away from God. In several books of the Bible we see a falling away of the people from God and a prophet comes to them with a warning and a reminder of the consequences of disobedience. Some of them listened, some paid with their lives when they rebelled and would not repent. However, when they did repent and turn back to God, God forgave them and returned to them.

WE are on the precipice! Over the next several days I will blog more about this movement to Return. It will take more than one day of speakers at Capitol mall to get us back to where we should be, but it is a start. When the towers were hit on 9-11-01 it was a warning. We did not heed the warning. It is 19 years later and our condition has deteriorated! Rather than look at what we as a country built our foundation on and try to repair that eroding foundation, we continue to chip away at that very foundation that holds us together as a nation-God!

We are being warned again! I believe Jonathan Cahn is a modern day prophet. He pieced together ‘harbingers’ or warnings for the US after 9-11, and has listed more in his new book, “Harbinger II.” I want to be a ‘little light’ for your day, but this sounds like a downer! It will only be a downer for you if you do not heed the warnings! The motorist does not have to be frightened of the traffic cop if he is obeying the rules of the road. Same with us. When we obey the God who loves us so much He gave His only son to die in exchange for our sins, well, we don’t have to fear Him, now do we? What we do need to do is examine ourselves daily and ask for forgiveness for anything we should not have done.

I couldnt wait for this day to come to hear Jonathan Cahn’s prophesy. I was not disappointed. Even though it could be really bad for America, the fact that the mall in front of the capitol was packed gives me HOPE! Many people prayed that the Lord would hold back his punishments until we had time to repent. I believe when God saw and heard so many asking for forgiveness, and repenting, God heard us from Heaven, and will begin to heal our land. However, it is not a once and done. It is a daily prayer for this nation to repent.

Are you with me? Please let me know!
