The Comeback is Always Stronger Than the Setback!

Haggai 2:9

‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”

It’s tiring! Listening to everyone and trying to determine who is telling the truth! All the thinking and listening makes me feel overwhelmed! Then I began to think some things through for my own self. I am not a political genius, by anyone’s calculations, but I can put 2 + 2 together and come up with the right answer! Let’s do some math, shall we?

Let’s begin with the 2016 election. Do you remember how shocked the Clinton camp was that she did not win? It almost seemed like it was a foregone conclusion for them. Then, there was all the resistance to the Trump Presidency! Almost immediately it became apparent that the Trump couple was not going to capture the attention of the media. Mrs. Gorgeous Trump did not make it to the cover of magazines, the talk show circuits, the women’s magazines. He was not going to be asked about how he raised successful children, made his millions, and even how he blended all the families at Thanksgiving.

Then the serious accusations began. first Stormy Daniels, than Russia, than impeachment, than covid-19, and on and on.

Here I must ask you. Why does anyone protest against someone that vehemently? There was not much in the rhetoric that changed the opinion of the people. Millions saw the truth in his actions in the country and their lives. Was there any particular reason why they would not want the President to be successful? They even sabotaged his agendas when it hurt the American people! Hmmmmm

So, it appeared that the impeachment was not going to work out the way they planned it would! That distraction was concluding, so a new one had to be enlisted. Ahhhh China to the rescue! When the covid-19 virus began it was for sure a nasty thing to deal with. Even deadly! Yet, how many mistakes can one group get away with before people begin to push back? It appears, a lot. Apparently we have gotten soft and self-centered because we just went along with what we were being told, the consequences of these errors were lost businesses, lost people at the hands of liberal governors, lost lives as there is not interaction among very social people, lost education for children that are rarely affected by the virus. These are just a few of a long list of rarely necessary restrictions.

Once the virus was in full swing and we began heeding the restrictions, we began to see the very people who were doing the regulating of the restrictions, violating the restrictions! Weren’t they worried they would become deathly ill? Guess not! The virus does not attack the rich and powerful?

Than the election cycle began. One candidate had a full blown, out in the streets talk to everyone campaign. He had thousands waiting hours to get into the limited venues. They followed all the social distancing rules, yet they made it their patriotic responsibility to be aware of the candidate’s and their platforms. The other kept a low profile, zoom calling, gaffing all the while, answered no questions, explained no future plan, that he did not get from the incumbent President. Explain how this can be a winning strategy for a President? Well, when you have ‘plan s’ (s for steal) in your back pocket, you don’t really have to campaign yourself to exhaustion. It’s already in the bag! This time around they were taking no chances and accepting no defeats! And, when you have a plethora of ballots waiting to be thrown into the mix, legal or not, you have the ‘secret sauce’ that wins the game!

Yet, there are a few pesky pests, those guys who will not go along to get along. They still are nagging about the fraud of this election. They want to stop the certification of the electors by challenging the votes. They heard and heeded ‘if you see something, say something’, and they had seen! Well, we have a plan for that. Dress up some willing folks as patriots and have them risk life and limb to scale the scaffolding at the capitol . Uh, did anyone wonder where the Capitol police were? They are on jumpers who try to scale the fence in seconds, but.. this day they were not able to stop people who climbed the fence, ran across the lawn and scaled the scaffolding??? Really? Break time maybe?

I am just expressing my humble opinion. Yet, I remember in high school learning a poem that referred to Nazi Germany;

First they came for the Jews

and I did not speak out

because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me. by Martin Niemöller

It is a sobering poem reminding us all that if we do not stand up for our rights, and continue to stand, even when it hurts, even when it is uncomfortable, even when it divides people, even when it costs us our time and treasure. There may come a day when they will come for us, and who will be there to stand for us?

In a fall of a great entity, wheather a marriage or a nation, the beginning is a ‘slow fade’. Small changes in our normal, changes barely visible, and nothing to push back on, get us ‘desensitized’ to change by those in control. It becomes more blatant and more severe, but it’s almost too late to do something, so, the people give in, and give up!

We cannot allow this type of take-over by three branches of government on the same ‘branch’ be our ruin! Stand up anytime you can for any group being oppressed. The next group may be yours!

It’s not too late for Lady Liberty to stand up for the virtues she was founded upon. The virtues right out of the Bible, written on many of our public and government buildings. God’s Word will not return void. We must learn it and use it frequently!

My opinion, I welcome your insight!
