Caring, Compassionate, Creative, Colorful, Crazy [for Jesus]!

Dear faithful readers,

I began this blog when the covid crisis began in March of 2020. We were all limited in our travels and it was fairly easy to find the time to read, and write this daily blog. Now, we are free again! I am struggling with the freedom of summer, the new responsibilities of my elderly Mom, and trying to keep up with my own health and fitness. As a result, I am looking at changing the format of this blog to something less demanding-for me! As always, I would appreciate your feedback. How would this blog be the most beneficial for you? Please answer here, or at:

Donna & Hubby (Pastor Ron)

Donna… the Pastor’s Wife

The Lord has greatly blessed me over many years with opportunities to serve Him in a variety of ways.

One of the most rewarding to me has been Pastor’s wife. I always tried to support my husband and ‘fill in’ blank spots where he needed a worker, a decorator, a cleaner, or someone to counsel another woman.

Now that he is retired, I still try to be all I can to help others in their faith walk.

Donna Liples… that’s ME!

Donna… the Mom

Of course, being the Mom of two grown men is simply amazing to me! In a flash, years go by. You are watching them at t-ball one summer, and attending their wedding the next!

As I blog, I will make every attempt to draw upon the wisdom God gave me raising boys for the Kingdom. Maybe something will help you in some small way with your ‘blessings.’

And, as always, feel free to contact me right here with any questions.

Donna, Ron, Grandchildren

Donna… the Nana

I found it so miraculous when our granddaughter was born (18 years ago). First, since we only had boys it was a novelty for us to be able to buy pink!

But then, I looked into her eyes. I saw hope for a future. Generations that will continue to grow, marry, have children and live for God. It became so real to me… this is God’s plan for the world.

In Genesis 1:28 God gave the mandate, “Fill the earth and subdue it.” Between our two sons we have four grandchildren. Three are boys!
