Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under Heaven.
Every wonder why we have an extra day in our calendar every four years or so? Oh, I know in science class we were all taught that it has something to do with the rotation of the earth around the sun so that our calendar remains manageable for our human consideration. God laughs! Actually, it is because takes a little longer for the earth to orbit the sun (approx 356.2421 days) and therefore missing that 1/4 of a day each year can really mess up our seasons and our orderly expectation for them. Over time our seasons would be confusing to chart, our holidays would be unscheduled, our planting seasons and so much more would be off just enough to keep us off kilter and in a state of confusion.
Since God Himself stands outside of time and is not fazed by our feeble attempts to control it, He has no issues with the extra 1/4 of a day! Our God is a God of order, and since He made us in His image, we are ‘programed to keep trying to ‘order’ His world. We come to our own solutions and conclusions about His creation and often we don’t even consult the Creator of the Universe to see if it is in agreement with God’s blueprint.
So, if we as humans want to continue attempt to bring order to the world God created with order, we will probably continue to Jerry-rigg our Universe to fit our expectation of what we perceive it to be.
Just some ‘leap-year’ musings from my deep thinking!
On another note…my sister-in-law was born on leap day-and she is a twin! Her claim to fame was on the front page on the Scranton Times as the only set of twins, girls, born on leap-year day that year. Either good or bad, she has had less than 20 ‘real’ birthdays, though she is older than me. I do send her a card every year, but it only hits the day about once every four. Just a fun fact!
If we sit and ponder some of these things that we seem so strongly we have the correct answer for, I believe we would be surprised to find out that God’s prospective is very different when we read His Instruction Book, the Bible, see the truth.
- We need to Reconsecrate ourselves to His Truth, His Commandments. Not the distortions of our feel-good society.
- Renounce and reject complacency. Allowing people to have, share and even impose their erroneous belief system on our society is making us weaker and less effective as the evangelists we were commissioned to be.
- Speak out against D.E.I. mandates. This ‘lukewarm’, all the same propaganda is dragging our nation into a pool of muddy water!
- Replace destructive Marxist Globalist elements! This is poisoning our government, our society and ultimately our futures
- Return to our Constitutional Republic! One not afraid of consequences if we personally have to feel some pain as our government runs off the rails. Remember our Founding Fathers gave up their lives in many situations so we could enjoy the privilege we enjoy now in the US. . Let’s EARN IT! Set aside your FEAR, think about your grandchildren, SPEAK OUT against the ungodly concepts without fear of retribution. WE ARE STILL THE MAJORITY AND WE STILL HAVE FREE SPEACH!
